The Crystal water fountain is a multifunctional project. It can be used for drinking, sitting, and storing things. There are two sides for the water, one of them is for the people that are standing, and the other is for kids and people who uses wheelchairs. The materials used are precast concrete reinforced with steel bars and epoxy to prevent it from cracking. I chose concrete for its color, thickness, and and because it keeps the water cool. It was inspired by a geometric faceted sterling ring, the ring was hexagon and this is where wI got the shape from. It is also related to the Islamic patterns and religion. As muslim, I was taught to sit and drink because it's much healthier; this was the idea of the crytal chair.
